Head Varsity Coach
Chris Powell
Coach Chris Powell is entering his first season as the head coach of the Blue Aces. Coach Powell earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from The Ohio State University. He has been a Social Studies teacher for the past 9 years, working at Gahanna Middle School West, Grove City High School, Gahanna Lincoln High School and Highland High School. Coach Powell started coaching while he was a senior in high school leading a youth travel team. He began his high school coaching career while he was an undergrad at OSU with Columbus West. Coach Powell was then an assistant coach and head freshmen coach at Gahanna Lincoln for 6 years. During his time at Gahanna the varsity program went 129-25, won 2 OCC Titles and 3 District Championships. His freshmen teams compiled a 90-14 record and made it to the OCC Championship game 4 years in a row, capturing the title twice. Coach Powell was named the varsity head coach at Highland High School in 2016, leading the Scots to three winning season, a 2019 KMAC Championship and was named KMAC coach of the year.

Freshmen Coach
Nick Twyman
Coach Nick Twyman will be joining the staff serving as the head freshmen coach and varsity assistant. Coach Twyman has spent the last 8 season as a part of the Reynoldsburg staff, serving as a middle school coach and varsity assistant coach. During his 6 seasons helping the high school staff Coach Twyman helped the Raiders achieve a record of 93-56 with a district championship and district runner-up. Coach and his wife reside in Granville and are excited to be joining the Blue Aces Family.
Derrick Fisher
Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Fisher returns to the Blue Aces for his 11th season and will be stepping into the role of varsity assistant. Coach brings a tremendous amount of basketball knowledge as well as his passion for helping develop young men who will be successful in life.
